1. Electric Motor
The electric motor is a machine that converts electric power into rotational energy to move the car forward and backward. It is controlled by three-phase alternating current (AC) power supplied by a 3-in-1 motor controller. It connects to the original transfer case or driveshaft of the converted vehicle to drive the wheels.
2. Lithium-Iron-Phosphate Battery Packs
As the primary source of power for an EV, BlueForce uses Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LFP) battery packs made up of individual cells using BYD’s blade cell technology. As LFP battery packs only contain iron, these are considered safer and more environmentally friendly, versus lithium-ion batteries.
3. AC/DC Charging Socket
The alternating and direct current (AC/DC) charging socket is the external port on an EV where charging cables are connected to supply power to the battery. It allows the vehicle to receive both AC for standard charging and DC for fast charging, enabling flexible options for charging your EV.
4. PTC Water Heater
The Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) water heater is an electric heater used to warm the vehicle’s cabin and regulate battery temperature. It heats the coolant using ceramic elements that increase in resistance as they get hotter, providing efficient and safe heating without risk of overheating.
5. Electronic Water Pump
The electronic water pump circulates coolant throughout the vehicle's thermal management system, ensuring efficient cooling of the battery, motor, and other components. It operates using electricity to maintain optimal operating temperatures, which is crucial for the performance and longevity of EV systems (especially batteries).
