BlueForce Featured on CBC Radio’s The Early Edition with Stephen Quinn
March 7 2025
BlueForce Energy is proud to have been featured on CBC Radio’s The Early Edition with Stephen Quinn, where our Organization & Productivity Project Manager, Cian Carroll, spoke about our industry-leading vehicle electrification solutions and the future of fleet electrification.
The interview focused on how BlueForce is revolutionizing commercial fleet electrification by providing cost-effective vehicle electrification solutions for Ford F-Series trucks (F-150 to F-750), classic cars, and specialized fleet vehicles.
Innovating Fleet Electrification
Fleet electrification is an essential step toward reducing emissions and lowering operational costs. BlueForce is leading the way by converting internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles into fully electric models—offering a scalable and sustainable alternative to purchasing new EVs.
During the interview, Cian Carroll highlighted the key benefits of our electrification solutions:
-
Custom vehicle electrification solutions tailored for specific vehicle models (not universal kits)
-
Significant cost savings for fleet operators – up to $10,000 per vehicle annually
-
Full electrification solutions – no hybrid or partial conversions, only 100% EV
-
Telemetric integration for fleet monitoring – real-time energy management & optimization
“Fleet electrification is a highly underserved market,” said Cian Carroll during the interview. “Many fleet vehicles have specialized functions—by converting their powertrains instead of replacing entire vehicles, we offer a cost-effective, sustainable solution.”
A Cost-Effective Alternative to New EV Purchases
When discussing the cost advantages of vehicle electrification solutions over purchasing new electric trucks, Carroll emphasized the financial benefits of choosing BlueForce’s solutions:
“A new electric Ford F-150 Lightning starts at around $70,000, whereas our vehicle electrification solutions costs $46,500 CAD. That’s nearly half the price while matching the performance of high-range Lightnings.”
For fleet operators, this price difference makes large-scale electrification feasible, allowing companies to allocate their budgets toward charging infrastructure, battery storage, and fleet expansion rather than high vehicle replacement costs.
“Fleet owners can expect savings of $3,000 to $7,000 per year per vehicle, thanks to reduced fuel costs, regenerative braking, and lower maintenance requirements,” Carroll added.

Expanding into Classic & Marine EV Conversions
In addition to fleet electrification, BlueForce is expanding its conversion solutions to classic cars and marine vehicles. During the interview, Carroll announced our new partnership with Petawatts Auto Marine RV Ltd. in Vernon, B.C., allowing us to provide vehicle electrification solutions for boats and recreational vehicles.
“We recently signed with Petawatts, who specialize in RV and marine conversions,” Carroll said. “This collaboration will allow us to branch out into the marine industry, offering electric solutions for boats and construction equipment.”
