We are looking for a Lead Marketing Manager to help us shape our marketing approach, ensuring that we’re reaching the right audience and delivering measurable results. Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team and help drive growth and expansion in new markets. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with potential clients, and managing strategic partnerships to accelerate company growth. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-starter with a proven track record in sales, relationship-building, and market expansion.
Work Term: Full-Time
Work Arrangements:
On-site, 100 - 5400 Minoru Blvd. Richmond, BC. Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week, from 10am-5pm. Possible off-site work.
Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, new opportunities, and potential clients or partners
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential leads and business opportunities.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Understand client needs and requirements, and tailor solutions to meet their business objectives.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new leads and convert them into clients.
• Use various channels such as cold calling, email outreach, networking, and social media to prospect and qualify leads.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling pitches and presentations that align with client needs.
• Prepare and review contracts, proposals, and service agreements to meet legal, financial, and client-specific requirements.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals as set by the management team.
• Provide regular updates on business development activities, pipeline status, and
revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
• Monitor and track client accounts, ensuring profitability and repeat business opportunities.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s network, build brand awareness, and identify new business opportunities.
• Represent the company at key networking events and build a professional network that will drive business growth.
• Maintain a strong presence in relevant business and industry forums, online communities, and associations.
• Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client meetings, and deal closures.
• Proficient in managing customer relationships, tracking leads, and optimizing sales pipelines using Hubspot.
• Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and create opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). An MBA or technical graduate degree is a plus.

3+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or related roles, ideally in the automotive, energy, or cleantech sectors.

Solid understanding of EV technology, battery systems, and renewable energy infrastructure.

Familiarity with CRM (e.g., HubSpot), marketing automation, and analytics tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales, and external agencies/partners.
